It is not common knowledge within Muslim and non-Muslim circles that the practice of archery was highly encouraged by the Prophet of Islam. For hundreds of years fathers had mentored sons in this art, heeding the words of their Prophet who asked his followers to “Teach your sons the shooting of arrows”. Sadly within the last 100 years the Islamic traditions of archery have slowly disappeared.

SHAHEED

Q: Recently there have been many armed robberies and many people have been instantly killed. Kindly explain the Shar’ee ruling pertaining to giving Ghusl and Kafn to such people.

A: There are two categories of Shaheed; a) Considered a Shaheed in this world as well as in the hereafter, b) Considered a Shaheed only in the hereafter and not in this world.

Being considered a Shaheed in this world as well is in respect to the rules pertaining to Ghusl, Kafan, Janaaza, etc. and being considered a Shaheed only in the hereafter refers to the great rewards and lofty positions promised by Allah Ta’ala for a Shaheed.

A Shaheed of the first category refers to an adult Muslim (male or female), free from any impurity that necessitates Ghusl, for example, Haydh, Nifaas, Janaabat, etc. who was killed instantly in a Shar’ee Jihaad or was killed unjustly. If a person was attacked and shot at point blank range and died instantly without benefiting from any worldly cause (medication, food, drink, etc.) then he/she will be regarded as a Shaheed in his burial proceedings. (Raddul Mukhtaar vol.2 pg.250; HM Saeed).

The instrument used to kill the person (gun, knife, etc.) does not make a difference. (Tahtaawi pg.344; Qadeemi).

A worldly Shaheed will be buried without giving him/her Ghusl and without clothing him/her in burial clothes (Kafan). His/her excess clothing (jacket, jersey, etc.) and other personal little items such as weapons, money, wallet, etc. will be removed and included in his inheritance. Only Janaaza Salaat will be performed.

If a person was found dead and it is unknown who killed him, then this person will not be regarded as a Shaheed of the first type since it cannot be established as to whether he was killed unjustly or not. If the person did not die instantly but instead, he lived on even for a few minutes, and was able to attain some type of worldly benefit from this world (medication, food, drink, etc.), then he/she will not be included in this first type.

The second type of Shaheed will be treated like a normal deceased person. He/she will be given Ghusl and be clothed in the Sunnat Kafan after which the Janaza Salaat will be performed. However, such a Shaheed will be rewarded by Allah Ta’ala. Examples of this type of Shaheed are many, some of which are; a person who drowns, a person who dies in a plague, a person who passes away due to an illness of the stomach, a woman who passes away due to child birth, a person who passes away in a motor car accident, etc.

Du’as for Getting Married

Q. .  I am unmarried and facing great difficulty in getting married. Very few proposals come due to my increased age and no progress is seen. I request you to suggest me the Qur’anic ayat or any other Islamic adhkar for getting good proposals and to get married soon.

A.May Allah (SWT) ease all your difficulties and grant you a pious and righteous spouse. My sincere advice to you in the meantime is as follows:

1. Perform Salat-ul Hajat and ask Allah (SWT) to grant you a pious compatible husband.

2. Do not pay attention to the questions of people and do not allow yourself to become overwhelmed by their comments and questions.

3. Ponder over the fact that this worldly life is temporary, and in fact very short. Our real objective in life is the worship of Allah (SWT). Hence, whilst you have the opportunity to engage in a lot of Ibadat, use this time profitably rather than spending it in disappointment and depression. You will Inshallah find the great sweetness Allah (SWT) has kept in His worship.

4. Ponder over the fact that Allah (SWT) has mentioned in the Holy Qur’an that He is sufficient for his servants.

5. Recite 'Ya Jaami'u' in abundance. You may also recite
رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ 
"Rabbi Innee Limaa Anzalta illayya min Khairin Faqeer"  [28:24]
(translation: "O' my Rabb, Verily I am most in need of any good that You might bestow on me."). 

Recite it seven times after every salah with Durood Shareef (Salat Ibrahimiya) thrice at the beginning and end.

6. Endeavour to speak to pious influential and understanding people within your family to assist you in this regard.

7. Always maintain the respect of your parents.

8. Keep yourself occupied and do not allow your mind to remain idle.

May Allah (SWT) grant you a compatible pious husband.

Death

Recently, I had the opportunity to explore the needs of children who had life threatening deseases and a question came to my mind , how do you give hope to children that have no family support for a faith tradition.  While I am not sure what would be acceptable in our secular society, that prides its self on giving every member the choice to not believe in God, I thought How Sad for these dying children who have so many fears and questions!  Alhumdullilah for Islam and its explanation of death, another proof of its truth! '

How Do Muslims View Death?

Muslims believe that the present life is a trial in preparation for the next realm of existence. When a Muslim dies, he or she is washed and wrapped in a clean, white cloth (usually by a family member) and buried after a special prayer, preferably the same day. Muslims consider this a final service that they can do for their relatives and an opportunity  remember that their own existence here on earth is brief.

And they say, “There is not but our worldly life; we die and live (i.e. some people die and others live, replacing them) and nothing destroys us except time.” And they have of that no knowledge; they are only assuming. And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, their argument is only that they say, “Bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful.” Say, “God causes you to live, then causes you to die; then He will assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt,” but most of the people do not know.  (Quran, 45:24-26

The Quran mentions that death is inevitable and cannot be delayed nor advanced. The time of death has been pre-determined for everyone.

When a person dies in this world, only his physical body dies and decays in the ground. His soul, which is his essence, feelings, memories and senses, is transferred into another ghostlike body.

After death, the soul cannot return back. This ghostlike body lives in another dimension, the unseen world, which is beyond our human senses and knowledge.

Here are the stages of death, according to some scholars’ understandings of verses from the Quran and from the words of Prophet Muhammad. (Other scholars might have different interpretations because of the flexibility of some Arabic words, which have metaphorical meanings.)

1. The stupors of death: The angel of death either extracts the soul painfully from the wrongdoers or gently from the pious ones, and then transfers the soul into a ghostlike body.
2. Misguiding of the devil: The last temptation of the devil is to deceive a dying person with his trickery. The good ones will not fall into temptation.
3. Entering the grave: When the body is buried, the soul stays beside the body and sees the horrifying unseen world.
4. Squeezing or pressure of the grave: When people leave the gravesite, angels come to squeeze the soul fiercely, making it scream loudly. Few souls are exempted from this punishment.
5. Munkar and Nakeer: These two angels come after the squeezing and question the soul about the beliefs of his faith. If the soul does not answer properly and was a wrongdoer in life, then he will be punished in the hellfire of the unseen world until the Day of Judgment or until his sins are purged. If the person was a pious true believer, then he will answer the questions properly and two angels of glad tidings will come to escort him to the Paradise of the unseen world.
6. The first blow of the trumpet: Both the seen and unseen worlds will exist until the first blow of the trumpet on the last day, when all living things, including angels and souls, will die. Nothing will be left except the living God.
7. The second blow of the trumpet and the resurrection: When the second blow occurs, God will re-create everything and the souls will return to their physical bodies for the Day of Judgment.
8. Accounting: Every person will be given his book of deeds and will be asked to judge himself. If a person tries to deny a bad deed, his body’s organs will witness against him. Accounting will be only for those who have both good and bad deeds. The pious ones who have only good deeds will be taken to Paradise without accounting, and the evil ones who have only bad deeds will be taken to the hellfire without accounting.
9. Bridge over the hellfire. Everyone must cross the bridge over hellfire, which is said to be sharper than a blade and thinner than a strand of hair. The more good deeds a person has, the faster he will cross over. Some will cross over like a flash of light. Some might take years to cross. Others might fall into the hellfire below.
10. The intercession: While the people with only a few sins are taken for their punishment, the prophets and their true successors will intercede for them with the permission of God. By this, God shows His great appreciation to His beloved servants.
11. Eternal hellfire and eternal Paradise: On the Day of Judgment, the evil ones will go to the hellfire. Some of the evil ones will be in the hellfire eternally and others might eventually come out of the hellfire after their sins have been purged. The good ones will be taken to Paradise to eternal enjoyment and fulfillment. In Paradise, there are bounties and blessings beyond our imagination and thought. As mentioned in the Quran, the greatest bliss is God’s pleasure.

We call all non-Muslims as a gesture of goodwill to accept Islam. We especially warn you not to fall prey to the priests and followers of your religion. Worry and think individually about your life after death. We urge the responsible people of all religions to leave falsehood and accept Islam. Leave aside nationalism and stubbornness and worry about the life after death. Do not think it a weakness to accept Islam after its truthfulness has been made evident? Do not ruin your hereafter for the fear of losing worldly wealth and fame.

Status

As Salaamu Alaikum Dearest Brothers and Sisters,  

I pray that this short note finds you in the highest Iman (faith) and optimum state of health, Ameen.  I thought I would share with you a recent inspiration I had before Fajr (early morning prayer).  The inspiration was so compelling I immediately wrote it down.  Like most of my Duas that come from the heart, this information comes from with in and Allahu Alim;

Islam is like a training system, to increase the energy field of the Human Being giving him/her the capacity for instantaneous healing of infections/disease, or the capacity to choose beneficial health care providers. Some gain the ability to teleport to another location (The Prophet Muhammad, pbuh), remote viewing at vast distances, looking into hyper space co-dimensions, even propelling their voice warning another of approaching armies, ect.

Cutting off the light source into our bodies can put our bodies in a sorta suspended animation (sleepers of the cave) touching another living creature at the time of this event has the potential of putting that creature in a suspended state, with Allah's permission (the dog), entering a cave like state.  Placing the body in a secure location and programming it for self containment assures one that upon return you have a vehicle to enter back into this dimension at a later date.

The body is a vessel that carries the soul much like a car carries the body.  In times of danger Allah has given the codes to a few of His servants so that they may pass through these dangerous periods unharmed and ready to awaken in a new paradigm so to share the light of truth with yet a new generation of human beings. (the end of the world as we know it, or paradigm shift)

The war of Armageddon has begun and most people are unaware of the signs.  Every event begins first as a spiritual one, then manifests in the physical "As Above. so Below" "As a man thinkest, so he is" ect.
The Qur'an is among other things, also a book of codes and verbal keys for transformation, revolution and annihilation of enemies of Allah.  Prayer, fasting, dhikr, duas are talisman's given for the work of vicegerents/servants of Allah who are on Earth as well as in the 7 solar systems.

The words of Allah not only transforms the spirit but the body (making one a light being) but also the mind and heart of the sincere seeker.  There are those that have taken this knowledge and used it for personal gain declaring for themselves an "Elite Status", so to control the flow of divine knowledge to the masses, because the masses are being used for material gain and thus have to be put into a fog of mis-information, distraction, fed lies and control programs, so that they are not awaken to the truth which lies dormant in the human consciousness.

Activation of these principles are based in sincerity and heart purity, that is solely determined by Allah and given through vibrational fields that ultimately reaches individuals chosen for this barakat, and Allahu Alim
